About Me
Hannah Emery: sociologist, storyteller, namer.
Names, stories, and identity have been my passion for decades. I have a PhD in the sociology of identity, have been telling stories since I was a kid, and have worked with dozens of individuals and families seeking meaningful names. I've been interviewed for Today.com and appeared on Anne Helen Petersen's Culture Study podcast. I've also been quoted as a name expert on Slate, The Sun, and more.
I love helping clients find the intersections of language, culture, and history that encompass what they're looking for in a name. Because every name journey is unique, and every name has a story.

You can travel on a bus
You can travel on a train
You can travel in a song
You can travel in a name.
